A semi-truck that failed to negotiate the southbound Agua Hedionda Lagoon chicane on Interstate 5 rolled over Friday October 8, 2010 just before 3 AM spilling “small generators and other metal parts across the highway,” according to a story on Sign On San Diego.

Carlsbad Fire and CHP responded to the scene and closed three southbound lanes causing traffic jams South on Historic 101, in both directions on Tamarack, and Garfield.

This is the same spot where a passenger bus and four cars crashed on August 20, 2009. Not a great way to start the weekend.
