No Four-Inch Lego Jackson For Now

Legoland-Calif-Resjpg-1Just when we thought we had a reason to finally visit Legoland the lawyers wreck everything.

Due to unresolved legal issues, LEGOLAND® California is no longer moving forward with its plan to install a model of Michael Jackson in Miniland U.S.A. as a tribute to the pop icon’s historical contribution to the history of music. . . “We were looking forward to installing a small tribute to Michael Jackson in Miniland,” said Peter Ronchetti, General Manager of LEGOLAND California Resort. “However, legal matters have come to light that prevent us from displaying the model in the Park.”

Yes, maybe it’s best to at least let MJ’s corpse cool.

Where Did The Tamarack Surf Beach Sign Go?

The Tamarack Surf Beach sign that featured a longboarder doing a stylish cutback has apparently disappeared from its past location. We’re hoping it was just taken down for cleaning. . . anyone have any ideas?

Update 5:48 PM: The City of Carlsbad doesn’t know what happened to the sign, though they did say that “the State” was doing some work on the bluff, so “maybe they took it down to clean it.”

What easier way to help the Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad than to drop off some almost new items that can be sold on ebay. That what Kids Helping Kids is doing. They turn your cast-offs into cash for the club.

Taylor Chapin (pictured far left), one of the founders of Kids Helping Kids effort said, “I can’t imagine a better way to spend part of my summer than helping the Boys & Girls Club. I see first-hand how they’ve made such a positive impact on so many kids and I simply just wanted to do my part to contribute.”
