Sounds a little more like a prank than a serious arsonist’s attempt at fire bugging, but someone set a Carlsbad High School stadium ticket booth on fire early on the morning of June 12, 2008.
Carlsbad firefighters responded to the school about 12:15 a.m. and found the wooden structure near the back entrance of the stadium burning, Battalion Chief Mike Kennedy said. No other structures were threatened, and firefighters extinguished the flames in minutes. Damage was estimated at $600 to $800, he said.
Sometimes seniors find it hard to leave their schools without leaving a mark.
