Carlsbadistan’s own “thrash/metal” band Keaper has been selected as one of the final six bands to compete in Volcom Entertainment‘s (the music label owned by the clothing company) 2008 Southern California High School Band Joust on June 28, 2008 at the Volcom Skatepark at 1660 Placentia Ave. Costa Mesa, CA.
All six bands that are invited to compete at the Band Joust will get a sweet gift packy from Volcom… The Grand Prize winning band will receive: Brand new ESP guitars and bass for the whole band, a live performance at the Damn Am skate contest at Volcom, private music lessons for one month ($500 value, courtesy of themusicfactoryoc.com), tickets for the band to go see Motörhead perform in Orange County, a Volcom clothing pack & Volcom Entertainment music pack for each member.
From the stuff we’ve heard on Keaper’s myspace page we’re thinking they’re going to slay the competition.
