Another Barrio Stabbing On Friday Night

by The Editors on October 6, 2008

A man was stabbed twice on Friday night October 3, 2008 near the corner of Harding and Magnolia Streets and Carlsbad police say they “believe it was gang-related,” according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

The victim suffered a 3-inch cut to his arm and a 3-inch cut to his stomach. He was taken to Mercy Hospital by helicopter, where he was reported in stable condition, said Carlsbad police Sgt. Keith Blackburn.

A 24-year-old man who was running from the scene with a knife was arrested. That must have been the helicopter we twittered about at 11:06 PM.

I say don’t stray across to the wrong side of the tracks after dark unless you’re going to Port, The Bottle Shop or to close the Tea…
