Gregorio’s Pledges Profits To Boys & Girls Clubs

by The Editors on January 11, 2010

Boys And Girls ClubThe Carlsbad Boys & Girls Clubs apparently played a large part in Gregorio’s Restaurant owner Greg Nelson’s life and because of that he has decided to donate the entire 2010 profits from the restaurant to the clubs, according to a post on the Gregorio’s Restaurant website.

People can’t always write checks, but we all need to eat,” Greg states simply. “Everyone does restaurant nights for charity; I took that idea and expanded it. . . .the Boys & Girls Club provided a place for my brother and me every day after school,” said Greg Nelson. “It’s critical the Club is able to continue offering the growing number of youth in our community a safe place that helps them grow into productive, responsible and caring results. I hope everyone will come to Gregorio’s for a delicious meal, and support this important project at the same time.”

Nelson hopes to raise $250,000 to help the club complete their new Bressi Ranch Clubhouse. Not a bad way to go. We hope Gregorio’s is extremely profitable this year, because the Carlsbad Boys & Girls Clubs can always use the money.

Absolutely amazing show of support for such a worthy organization. I can definitely say that I will have a few more dinners at Gregorio’s this year than last. It’s great to see people giving back!
