A tree that fell onto two southbound lanes of Interstate 5 yesterday (January 11, 2010) closed the Tamarack offramp and caused traffic to back up well into Oceanside, according to story on San Diego 6.
The California Highway Patrol reports the tree is blocked two right lanes of the freeway and the off ramp to Tamarack. . . The 50-foot tree was split in half and had to be cut up before the lanes could reopen.
It took workers until approximately 3:30 PM to get the tree out of the way and the lanes opened back to free-flowing traffic.
The Tamarack/I-5 zone certainly seems to get more than its share of traffic action, doesn’t it?
