Kucinich’s 30 Minute Carlsbad Visit

by The Editors on August 8, 2007

160Px-Dennis KucinichDemocratic Presidential hopeful and Ohio congressman Dennis Kucinich will be in Carlsbad for 30 minutes on Sunday, August 12 with the Democratic Club of Carlsbad at the Carlsbad Women’s Club at 3320 Monroe St. He will reportedly arrive at 2:30 PM and spend the next half hour doing every thing he can to get people fired up for his 2008 run at the White House. But if you’re just there for the party, it goes from 1-5 PM and costs $40 per couple. Click here for more info

Of course, he’s spending a little more time earlier in the day with the celebrities at the Deepak Chopra’s Living Center in Encinitas. That starts at 11 AM and requires a $250 minimum contribution.

I heard hw would be speaking at 1PM. This says 2:30. Which is correct? Do I have to pay to har him?

Robert, the Carlsbad party starts at 1 PM, however, if you look at Kucinich’s schedule on the Earthtimes.org link it shows that he’s at the Chopra event until 2 PM, then Carlsbad at 2:30 to 3 PM so he can make his Beverly Hills event at 5:30.

Congressman Kucinich has a really tight schedule (as they all must). And yes, the events are fundraisier so you’ll need to support the cause.

Why would I vote for someone who can only spend 30 mins at a 4 hour fundraisier dedicated to his possible Democratic nomination. Oh…sorry, I forgot that he has to get to the heavy pockets of Beverly Hills by 5:30….

Shows how much he cares about the small people!!!
