If you rarely find yourself downtown on Carlsbadistan’s State street during normal business hours, you’ve probably only seen empty display cases in the windows of Mulloys Fine Jewlery. Do yourself a favor this holiday season and stop searching all over the county for bling. They’ve got a huge selection for both men and women.
While there are plenty of beautiful items to make any woman smile on Christmas morning, we know that some unmarried guys are a little afraid of putting any extra-small gifts under the tree this year. If you’re worried she’s going to think it’s a ring—strive for something that comes in a bigger box—like the one that comes with these 2.5 inch long dangly Marco Bicego 18K Yellowgold Jaipur Earrings with Amethyst, Pink Tourmaline, and Quartz earrings. Even if she’s hoping for something that slides on her finger, one look at these and there is no way she’ll be disappointed.
For women who are looking for that perfect gift for that hard-to-shop-for corduroy, Converse, and Brixton-hat wearing boyfriend or brother, we’re going to drop in and suggest a classic pair of cufflinks. These pinstriped Sterling Silver Black Onyx cufflinks made by Ballou are the perfect accessory that he’ll love, but never buy for himself. Plus at a price that’s under a $150, they look good without costing a fortune.

The sun may not be that high in the sky at Christmas time, but there is no better gift for anyone who spends time in Carlsbadistan than a hype new pair of Carrera Safaris sunglasses ($150) from the Sunglass Lounge.
These shades are so smooth they’re just asking to be worn at night. And if the Carreras are a little too NYC for the people on your list, then Sunglass Lounge owners Bob and Sherrie Gornish will picking out a perfect pair from the hundreds of styles they have on display, in stock, and in the Village.

There are only a few Christmas gifts with universal appeal and bath products are one of them. The modern, yet elegant packaging of Fruits & Passion’s Baobab Buriti Tamanu Foaming Bath (35$) makes it the perfect present for Moms, sisters, girlfriends, and wives alike.
Enriched with a vegetal-based oil, the paraben, sulphate, and colorant free foaming bath is available in three fragrances inspired by the trees from Africa, the Amazon, and Polynesia. Plus, as we mentioned before, it comes in a cool green, orange, or yellow bottle and really isn’t that the whole point when you’re trying to give a nice gift to a woman in your life?

On the Twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a ocean front lot on the beach at Terramar. . .
We’ve written about Carlsbadistan’s “Land of Gold” before. It’s a street called Tierra Del Oro and we thought it had been completely built out, but it appears that the Riley’s have decided against building their 6,215 square foot Terramar dream home (which was approved by Coastal Commission and the City of Carlsbad). Instead, they’re selling the empty lot along with all the plans and permits for a sweet $6.15 million.
Approx 60′ Beach frontage. Approved plans for a magnificent home (three story from the beach side) with an elevator, a phenomenal master suite, three additional bedrooms, five baths, office, retreat, gym, music room, great room, game room, full bar, gourmet kitchen with a walk-in refrigerator, two car garage and direct beach access on a double cul-de-sac street.
Last minute shoppers should contact Tom and Peggy Cozens and ask them about MLS listing #071085779. It really is the perfect stocking stuffer.

To be clear: we are in no way suggesting that you should gift one of these boards to anyone who is going to ride it in Carlsbad. Oceanside is fine. But not Carlsbad, please. That said, Legends Surf has some great stand up paddling boards and paddles in stock. In fact, they are becoming SUP central it seems.
The board we think the SUP in your family might like is the Angulo Model . It’s 11′ 9 ” x 31 ” x 4.25″ with clear top and bottom, plus graphics, 2 +1. Fins and pad included. It’s great for the big man in anyone’s life. And right now it’s only $1950.00. But again, please, make sure the person you buy this board for only surfs it in Oceanside. Thank you.
